Welcome to the International Fundraising Consultancy's Wikifund

Wikifund was developed by a group of fundraisers passionate about their profession; but tired of expensive courses, boring conferences and tedious books. We wanted to bring fundraising expertise to all those in every country determined to improve the world, developing strong civil societies where governments and the market had failed to deliver benefits to all.

Wikifund is a forum for sharing good practice and ideas in fundraising and non-profit management. It is equally applicable to charities, non-profits and social enterprises.

In this wiki you will find information on fundraising techniques necessary to finance and manage every kind of non-profit both large and small, from Capital Appeals to detailed information on techniques and from governance to database management. It also ranges more widely over other subjects of interest to fundraisers such as the Ethics of Fundraising and using new media and social networking.

Whether you are just starting out or a highly experienced professional this site will have information for you, and gives you the chance to add your own expertise. For all those involved in non-profits, whether directors, staff or trustees Wikifund aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to current practice in fundraising along with highly detailed information for the specialist.

Please help us build Wikifund by adding your expert knowledge in new pages or by improving the existing information. You can easily obtain login details from info@ifc.tc, editing is simple and if you need more guidance see Wikifund on Facebook. If you would like to talk to us in person and receive free consultancy look at 'First Friday Fundraisers' on Facebook and come to First Fridays in London, Milan, Ottawa, Amsterdam and Geneva. This year you also have the opportunity to attend the first Swiss International Fundraising Congress in Geneva.

We look forward to meeting you.

Thank you to all our contributors
